I believe in a Creator, I just haven’t read The Bible. I’ve kind of cheated on my atheistic vows though, because I know so many people who HAVE read The Bible, along with all of its spinoffs and fanfics. That means I get a lot of second hand marketing and allegory about the holy book in critiques of other works and even in the works themselves.
So, for all intents and purposes, I HAVE read The Bible, The Vedas, and the Torah, and should be considered a devout Christian, Buddhist, Jew and Egyptian Sun God aspirationist for having lived amongst religious people in their societal mechanisms for so long.
I don’t know what the huge deal is, anyway. Religions are like fansites or book clubs that never get around to changing topics or books.
