Quotation Marks

Infixing is the term for the insertion of semantic morphemes within words, with, “Fanfuckingtastic,” “Absofuckinglutely,” and, “Unfuckingbelievable,” being three of the only instances of this rare phenomenon that have been documented in the English language.

When dealing with multiple versions of a story, as being related by a speaker not in direct contact or level of expertise with the issue, it’s important to keep in mind who said what, and a visual bracket system could be useful. As an aide to writers who need to reference other works, I’ve theorized a novel method for maintaining ease of visual presentation. Specifically, I’m suggesting the implementation of bracket quotation symbols ⅃L() for insetting information in a speaker, writer, or publisher’s document. This would be slightly more advanced than a set of quotation marks, since in the idea developed, the brackets would contain mouse-over text containing user identity, ip address, and even truth ratings of the information contained.

One example of the way in which the brackets might be relevant would be in the case where, people who read this post without a Linguistics degree could be perfectly justified in claiming,   I don’t believe Infixing is the term for the insertion of semantic morphemes within words, with, “Fanfuckingtastic,” “Absofuckinglutely,” and, “Unfuckingbelievable,” being three of the only instances of this rare phenomenon that have been documented in the English language.
